Muhammad Farooq is a Lecturer of Mathematics at FAST–National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (FAST-NUCES), Multan Campus. He earned his Master’s and MS degrees in Mathematics from the University of Education, Lahore, specializing in Pure Mathematics. He completed his MS in 2022.

Prior to joining FAST-NUCES, he served as a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Education, Lahore and later at Baba Guru Nanak University, Nankana Sahib, where he taught from 2022 to July 2026. During his tenure, he was actively involved in teaching, academic activities, departmental administration and curriculum-related initiatives.

His research interests lie in Pure Mathematics, particularly Group Theory, Galois Fields, Finite Commutative Chain Rings and their applications in Cryptography. His research focuses on applying algebraic structures to the design and analysis of secure cryptographic systems.

In addition to teaching and research, he has organized academic seminars, workshops, and conferences, and has contributed to various departmental and administrative responsibilities. He is committed to fostering an engaging learning environment while contributing to research and academic initiatives that advance mathematics education.
